Mãezinha and Paizinho, Ana Rita Otaviano Tavares de Melo and José Tavares de Melo, were born respectively on 01/15/1948 and 01/14/1945 in Recife (Brazil).
They began to like each other, when she was 6 years old and he 9. In 1967 they crowned their love story with the Sacrament of Matrimony, from which arose immediately good fruit: four biological children.
After a strong spiritual experience with Our Lady on February 4th, 1995, Mãezinha and Paizinho began a deep life of prayer and complete surrender to the kingdom of God. Accompanied step by step by Mons. Marcelo Pinto Carvalheira, the Archbishop of Paraiba and then Vice President of the Brazilian Bishops' Conference (CNBB), they extended their natural family into a spiritual family: on September 21st, 1997 they founded the "Community Servants of Mary of the Heart of Jesus" (CSMCJ) in order to spread the infinite love of the Heart of Jesus through the tenderness of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Today Mãezinha and Paizinho, with their yes to Jesus' words "Come, follow Me", see the realization of what Mons. Marcelo had once said to them: "I see the community spread in the four corners of the earth".
